Bob Aubert's Electro-Mechanical Antiques

I collect, restore, and study antiques which form the basis of our present standard of living.  Of special interest to me are old technology items like, early radios, wind-up phonographs, music boxes, cameras, photo images, magic lanterns, tools, scientific instruments, typewriters, calculating devices and other office equipment.

I've been doing this for over twenty-five years.  My hobby has kept me very busy and provided many hours of enjoyment.  I've met several new friends who share my passion for collecting.  We meet regularly to exchange ideas and learn from one another.

You may be wondering why I collect so many different technical items in the first place!  They require a lot of room and almost everything needs work when found.  I really don't know the answer to that.  I just got carried away somehow.

I have an engineering background and taught Electro-Mechanical Maintenance at U. S. Steel's Fairless Works in Pennsylvania for many years.

I'm currently a free-lance technical writer.  If you have an instruction book for a VCR or Computer that you don't understand, I may have written it!  For obvious reasons the author's name is always omitted from such publications.

From time to time I will provide specific information about a new "find" or some restoration project.  I also have a few duplicate collectables that will be offered for sale or trade here. So bookmark my Web Site and visit often to see what's happening!
